Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update June 2020

Your Eye care, Covered

We are now back in practice and here to help you

The Association of Optometrists has confirmed that, following a statement from NHS England on 17th June 2020, practices can begin to provide a full range of services to NHS and Private patients whilst complying with the relevant guidance on social distancing and infection control measures.

Call us on 01902 757 454 or email to discuss your needs.

If you have symptoms associated with coronavirus including a new continuous cough and/or a high temperature and/or a loss of or change in your normal sense of smell or taste you are advised to stay at home for 7 days.

Your health and safety is our priority and we are taking the following steps to keep us all safe.

By Appointment Only

Please don’t visit the practice without an appointment but do call 01902757454 or email should you need advice.  We are here to help you.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

All team members will be wearing appropriate PPE and safety screens and equipment modifications will be in place making our practice a very safe environment for your essential and urgent eye care.

Hand sanitiser stations are available in the practice for all team members and patients to use.
We would ask that all patients attend the practice without gloves and use the hand sanitiser on entering and leaving the premises. We would encourage you to wear a face covering if possible.

Deep Cleaning

The practice will be kept safe with the deep cleaning of all surfaces and equipment.
In between patients the consulting room equipment and surfaces will be thoroughly cleansed.

Appointment Scheduling

Appointments will be further spaced out to limit the number of patients in the practice and allow for cleaning to take place in between patients.

We encourage the use of card payments to reduce the handling of cash.
The card terminal will be cleansed after each transaction.

In some circumstances it may be  sensible for us to conduct a pre-assessment consultation before you visit us saving on the time  you spend in the practice.

All spectacle frames and samples will be sanitised after being handled.

We look forward to working with you to provide the very best eye care in the safest and most convenient way.

Fully Independent

Being a fully independent practice and not part of a chain is very important to us as it gives us the freedom to give you the very best advice and widest possible choice of products without compromise.

Since 1985

Following Steven Sheward’s retirement from the business in June 2019 the practice is under the independent ownership of Ms Samantha L. Hague BSc. MCOptom who is also our Principal Optometrist.

New Look and Feel

With a new look and feel to the practice but the same ethos and values based on quality, service and patient care we will always aim to exceed your expectations and be there whenever and whatever you need.

We are proud to stock a great selection of frames, lenses and contact lenses.
